Ana Belluzo took her M.A. degree in art history from the Universidade de São Paulo in 1988 and received her Ph.D from the Faculty for Architecture and Urbanism at the Universidade de São Paulo in 1988. From 1998–1999, she taught art history at the Faculdade de Architetura e Urbanismo at the Universidade de São Paulo. Currently, she is Associated Professor in the faculty’s program for post-graduate studies.

Additionaly, she works as critic and independent curator. She is member of: Comitê Brasileiro de História da Arte. She is co-ordinator of the project Documents of 20th Century of Latin American and Latino Art located at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and the Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo.
