Jagath Weerasinghe is an artist and an art writer. He is also a Professor at the Postgraduate Institute of Archeology (PGIAR); University of Kelaniya. He has been a Visiting Fellow at the Institute of Archaeology, University London and he was recently awarded the ICCROM Fellowship of the International Centre for the Study of Cultural Property, Rome. He has also been a recipient of the Hirayama Silk Road Fellowship.
