Vinicius Spricigo is a PhD candidate at the School of Communication and Art of the University of São Paulo and former editor of the “Permanent Forum; Art Museums; between the public and private domain”. He was a Research Fellow at the Royal College of Art (London, 2007), and a Visiting Fellow at the GAM – Global Art and the Museum, a project of the ZKM – Centre for Art and Media (Karlsruhe, 2008). He also collaborated with the “Artists in Contemporary Societies: National or Global Citizenships?” a report by Okwui Enwezor and Jean Fisher, for UNESCO World Report on Cultural Diversity, published in 2008.

Among his publications are the following: “A vanguarda Participacionista Brasileira (1954-1973)”, História: Questões e Debates (magazine 2005); “Relato dos Seminários Internacionais da 27ª Bienal de São Paulo”, in co-authorship with Liliane Benetti , Fórum Permanente (online 2006); “Entrevista com Antoni Abad sobre o canal*MOTOBOY”, Centro Cultural da Espanha em São Paulo (exhibition catalogue 2007); “HORROR VACUI: Crítica institucional y suspensión (temporal) del sistema internacional del arte. Una conversación con Ivo Mesquita sobre la 28ª Bienal de São Paulo”, in collaboration with Joaquín Barrriendos , Estudios Visuales (magazine 2008).

Graduated in Graphic Design (1995-1999) with specialization in History of Art of the 20th Century (2001-2002), Vinicius Spricigo received an honored mention to his MPhil Research (Programme Rumos Itaú Cultural 2003). He was also an assistant professor at the Design Department of the University of Paraná (2002).
